Billy von Raven spoke his first words as a child and sang his first song at the same time. Growing up with guitars, piano, classical and jazz records, a recording studio and a library full of poetry, he penned his first song at age ten and began his classical training on the piano shortly thereafter. His journeys have led him to producing compositions for piano and classical ensembles, indie movies scores, a self-released electronic album, a multimedia visual art show/rock opera, self-published poetry zines and even fronting a neo-classical punk band on the organ. Human Thinking Animal is his first self-released solo acoustic album, taking us through dreamscapes of ethereal piano improvisation, timeless acoustic rock songs layered with harpsichord and harmonies to plaintive bare piano and voice.
