Sam Peterson is a Sam-of-all-trades. He’s tattooed AIDS activist/performance artist Diamanda Galas, been filmed by the Discovery Channel for their documentary on artists and piercing, been filmed by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato (TransGeneration, The Eyes of Tammy Faye), taught feminist porn-writing with Gynomite!, escaped from a cult, and played guitar at CBGBs. And that was before he manned-up!

Joshua Aidan Benscoter is a 29 year old trans man, living in the St. Louis metro area, soon to be living right smack in downtown.  Josh has been playing guitar, writing music, and singing for the past 15 years, has played at numerous open mic nights and has had three songs professionally recorded at shock city studios in St. Louis Missouri.  Josh is currently working on many new songs, and hopes to release an album sometime this year.  Josh is also an aspiring painter and would love to show his works at some point in the future as well.

“I have the word ‘Paradox’ tattooed onto my chest,” reveals author, artist, performer, and activist Sassafras Lowrey, who uses the gender-neutral pronouns ze and hir.  The tattoo hints at Lowrey’s complicated gender identity.  “I came out as trans when I was 18 and lived as an FTM—including several years of being on testosterone.”
