Now Calling 4 Submissions for Trans-Genre’s first ever Visual Anthology, a multi-media compilation of Video, Poetry, and Art exclusively from the Transgender Creative Community.

This year we’re going all the way with our first  ever DVD/Zine compilation and we want you to be a part of it!!

What we’re looking for:

We want your best:

• stories
• animated shorts
• music videos
• performance
• poetry
• comics
• and other forms of visual art

Submission Requirements:

• Must be a Registered Artist with Trans-Genre (sign up here!)
• Work must be of original content and not infringe upon any legal or moral copyrights.
• Priority given to previously unreleased exclusive material

Zine Submission Guidelines:

Leah B. of Gender EDGE will be handling all Zine Submissions. Please Contact Leah B. with any questions.

• Size: max. 10″x8″ (but should be legible at as small as 4.5″ x 7.5″)
• Formats excepted: .pdf, .jpg (other formats accepted upon request)
• B&W or full color submissions accepted
• 300 dpi

• Duration: minimum 1 ½ to max. 20 minutes
• Formats excepted: .mov .MPEG2 (.mp4 .avi .dv )

Submission is open to all self-identified transfolk, so please feel free to pass this message along.  The winning logo will capture the spirit of the show and will be equally suitable for use (in whole or in part) on everything from small buttons to large posters. Entries may be submitted in any medium and can include color. However, the winning design must be able to be printed in black & white.

The artist of the winning entry will receive a $50 honorarium, as well as samples of any merchandise items that feature the logo (t-shirts, stickers, etc) and exposure to audiences throughout North America.

Feel free to write with any questions or to request previous years’ logos if you are unfamiliar with the kinds of designs that we have used. We look forward to seeing all of your ideas!

We are currently booking for its 2011 performance season, and we welcome requests from venues in all parts of the country. We’re particularly interested in touring the southern half of the country this year. We hope to see all of you soon!
