Singer, Songwriter, and Guitar playing poet.
Joshua Aidan Benscoter is a 29 year old trans man, living in the St. Louis metro area, soon to be living right smack in downtown. Josh has been playing guitar, writing music, and singing for the past 15 years, has played at numerous open mic nights and has had three songs professionally recorded at shock city studios in St. Louis Missouri. Josh is currently working on many new songs, and hopes to release an album sometime this year. Josh is also an aspiring painter and would love to show his works at some point in the future as well.
Josh is a new member in the Transgendered community and is still seeking out contacts, as he is pre-t and pre surgery. Josh is excited about the trans-genre compilation and says, ” Its great that we get our voices out there and are heard! There are so many talented musicians that get overlooked because of prejudice and this project goes beyond all that”
Josh has worked with a couple different musicians in his history AJ bryce being one of them.

Another artist josh has worked with albeit briefly is Doug from gravity kills. Doug played key boards on Joshs’ track always that is yet to be released through myspace.
Josh is basically a nuts and bolts rhythm guitar player, with folky stylings, and a melodic voice. Josh really enjoys what he does, and would love to someday make a living at making music, because making music is what he does best.
